News for 2026

Picture
CUTTINGS - Antler Productions

Written/Directed by Chloë Lawrence-Taylor & Paul Sirett.
Starring Liam Murray Scott & Roseanna Frascona.
Produced by Amelia Deering.

Terrified of the outside, a man finds escape by obsessively growing, cataloguing, and arranging plants inside his home. When his partner finally reaches breaking point, he must choose between losing her or facing up to his fear. A tender yet uncompromising portrait of agoraphobia, OCD, and how one couple navigates mental illness.

Sunrise Film Festival 2025 (BIFA qualifying) - Awarded Best Sound Design
I worked as Art Director on this short film. This involved building a forest in a tiny terraced house with much channelling of Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are. It has been shown at various festivals and will be screened at  Little Venice Film Festival 2026. Tickets go live soon. so catch it if you can.

 New Series of Work

THE WANDERERS
THE WONDER
Picture
Two Flowers on a Mountain on a Boat at Night (detail). Oil on board, 16" x 20" 2025
THE WANDERERS are a series of images showing things that are traditionally rooted to the ground taking to boats to attempt escape from fire, flood, drought and other extreme weather phenomena. These paintings stem from a need to find some way of witnessing current climate challenges.

THE WONDER is a more romantic series exploring responses to the natural and the fascinating ways that microscopic organisms mirror massive natural structures.
More on both these series as they develop. In the meantime, a belated Happy New Year and thanks for reading these posts.
